About Nagma
Nagma (نغمة, “tone”) is a free, Arabic-first site that turns any song or recording into a ringtone, alarm or notification sound for iPhone and Android. It is built and run by Anwar, an independent developer. No account, no app.
How it works without uploading your file
- Your browser reads the file from your phone. Nothing goes to a server.
- A quick pass draws the waveform, then the audio is let go so a long song does not fill the phone’s memory.
- Play or iPhone reads only the part you picked, again.
- That part becomes AAC for iPhone or MP3 for Android, on your phone.
- Your browser saves the finished file to Downloads like any other.
What Nagma will not do
- Ask you to sign up or give an email.
- Keep a copy of your song or any record of what you cut.
- Download audio from YouTube, TikTok or other sites.
- Break the protection on streaming-app songs.
What we measure
Nothing. This build of Nagma has no analytics, no ads and no cookies.
Open-source parts
Nagma stands on open-source software. The audio encoders load only after you pick a file.
