How is an iPhone ringtone different from an Android one?
An iPhone ringtone is an M4R file of 30 seconds or less, a rule set by iOS itself: any longer and “Use as Ringtone” never appears. Nagma stops the selection at that limit for you. Android takes an MP3 of any length, added straight from the sound settings.
| iPhone | Android | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | M4R | MP3 |
| Longest | Under 30 seconds | Any length |
| Install | Files app, then Share | Settings, then Sounds |
Is my song uploaded?
No. Your phone reads, cuts and saves the file; Nagma has no server that could receive audio. The counter under the buttons shows every byte the site sends, and it stays at zero.
What people ask
Is Nagma free?
Yes. No account, no watermark, no limit on how many tones you make.
Can I use a song from Apple Music or Anghami?
No. Streaming downloads are copy-protected, so no site or app can cut them. Use a file you own or a recording you made.
My iPhone runs an iOS older than 26. Will the file work?
Yes, through GarageBand. After saving, Nagma shows the GarageBand steps next to the iOS 26 ones.
Can I make a tone from a voice note someone sent me?
Yes. Save it to Files first, then pick it in Nagma like any song.
